Our Origin
Built by People Who Know This Industry
Nationwide was founded in 2019 by the team behind Best Buy Automotive Equipment (BBAE) — a company headquartered in Temecula, California that has been equipping professional automotive shops since 1986. After decades of hearing the same request from shop owners — "Is there a quality lift that doesn't cost a fortune?" — we decided to answer it properly.
BBAE had built its reputation over 40 years on deep product knowledge, reliable customer service, and long-term relationships with the shops it served. We took that same foundation and built Nationwide around it: a purpose-built line of professional lifts designed for real working shops, at prices that make sense.

The Search for the Right Partner

We knew what we wanted: professional-grade lifts built to the standards our customers demand, at a price point that makes them accessible to every shop. Finding a manufacturer who could actually deliver that took real work.
We traveled to China — with a short list
China is the world's manufacturing hub for automotive equipment. We knew the right partner was there. What we also knew was that not every factory belongs on a shop floor. We went with a clear set of standards and the patience to find someone who could meet them.
We walked away from facilities that didn't qualify
We visited multiple production facilities. We reviewed manufacturing processes, inspected weld quality, stress-tested hydraulics, and reviewed certification documentation. More than a few operations didn't make the cut. The right supplier isn't one who agrees to everything — it's one who builds with precision and takes quality personally.
We found the right partner — and stayed
After a thorough and at times difficult search, we found a manufacturer whose engineering capability, quality controls, and commitment to consistency matched our standards. This relationship underpins not only every Nationwide lift we sell, but also our Talyn line of wheel service equipment.

Nationwide lifts are manufactured in China — we're transparent about that. It's how we're able to offer professional-grade equipment at accessible prices. But there is no ambiguity about who stands behind every product we sell.
Nationwide is owned and operated by Quality Tool & Equipment, Inc., a U.S. company headquartered in Temecula, California. We import, quality-check, and sell every unit ourselves — and we are fully subject to U.S. business law, product liability standards, and consumer protections. When something goes wrong, there is a real American company responsible for making it right.
